Dr. Alisha Tuteja

I’m Dr. Alisha Tuteja, a board-certified family medicine physician and the founder of this concierge practice. I started this journey so that I can focus on providing high-quality, personalized care without the time restrictions and pressures that come along with a traditional medicine model.

I grew up in Northern Virginia and began my academic journey at Johns Hopkins University as an undergraduate. From there, I earned my MD degree at Virginia Tech Carilion Medical School in Roanoke, VA, before completing my residency at Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program in Houston, TX. My husband, an emergency medicine physician, and I were lucky enough to couples-match there. After residency, we moved back to the Maryland suburbs to be closer to home, and we’ve been proud to serve Montgomery County since.

My husband and I like to joke that we practice medicine from opposite ends of the spectrum — my goal is to prevent health problems from happening in the first place, and his job is to treat them when prevention doesn’t work.

Outside of medicine, I’m a proud mom to two young children. Our son, Jay, was born in 2022, and our daughter, Ria, just joined us in March of 2025. My family is my world – my husband and children motivate me to do better every day. Jay is a nonstop ball of energy. It’s so fun to watch his personality develop – he is goofy, smart, sensitive, and an incredible big brother. Ria is growing faster than we are prepared for and is an absolute firecracker. As a family, we enjoy being outside together, trying new foods, and singing karaoke! My husband is the cook in the house (and a very good one), but we also love exploring new restaurants and cuisines as a family.

My approach to medicine is shaped not just by my training, but also by my experiences as a mother and partner. In my world, I value balance and being present for my family. With this practice model, I can take the time to understand your goals and priorities, and provide you with personalized care accordingly.
